Mercedes-AMG GT 53 EV Arrives With 400 kW and Up to 809 km of Range

Mercedes-AMG has expanded its new electric GT 4-Door Coupé family with the GT 53 4MATIC+, a less extreme but arguably more usable alternative to the higher-output GT 55 and GT 63. Instead of the three-motor layout used by its more powerful siblings, the GT 53 runs a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing up to 400 kW and 800 Nm. It is paired with a 106 kWh battery and an 800-volt electrical architecture, while preliminary WLTP figures suggest a maximum driving range of up to 809 km.
